National Oceanographic and Maritime Institute (NOAMI)

GIS & Remote Sensing Course | NOAMI

Certificate Training Course: GIS & Remote Sensing

Master spatial analysis, satellite data interpretation, and environmental mapping for Climate Change, Earth, and Ocean Applications.

Course Overview

Bangladesh is recognized as one of the most climate-vulnerable nations globally, facing acute exposure to sea-level rise, cyclones, storm surges, coastal erosion, and salinity intrusion. To address these complex environmental changes, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing are critical for monitoring Earth system processes and supporting evidence-based disaster preparedness.

The National Oceanographic and Maritime Institute (NOAMI) has designed this comprehensive training to build vital technical capacity among researchers, students, and professionals. By completing this course, participants will be equipped with the state-of-the-art geospatial tools necessary to assess climate risks and implement sustainable management practices in Bangladesh’s coastal and marine sectors.
